In my first post, I'll just try to bring you, the reader, up to speed with where I am in the homebrew process. The other day I bought all the equipment I plan on using for the near future from Home Brew Show in St. Charles, IL (http://www.homebrewshopltd.com/). They have a two stage kit that upgrades their basic Brewer's Best kit. It seems like I have everything that I will need to be satisfied with my equipment for quite a while.
Additionally, I bought the Brewer's Best PSA IPA ingredient kit. The employees said it was tasty, but best of all profits from the sale of this recipe benefit prostate cancer awareness. I am scheduling my first brew day for this Wednesday, so I will update as I prepare for my first fermentation.
That's all I've got for now. Perhaps I'll update later on with pictures of the equipment, but who knows if I will.
